The Second regular performance of the band Flame was held at Small Assembly Hall on first floor of the Student Hall on November 14. Flame is the band at the Catholic University of Korea (CUK). The name Flame (불꽃) mean not only “flare” but also abbreviation for “Immortal flower pigs (불멸의 꽃돼지).”
Originally, the band was a club from the Department of Social Science but CUK reorganized the 2020 academic system and the Department of Social Science will be abolished. Therefore, the band decided to attach itself to the social welfare major under the department of social science from this semester.
This semester, the concept of the Flame performance is “school”, so it brought out the details of the concept such as making the performance poster into the blackboard shape, using a school bell to indicate the event time. All performance members also wore their school uniforms of their school days and proceeded with the performance, so they caught many people’s eyes.
The performance started at 6:30 p.m and lasted two hours. The type of song played was different in part one and part two. Songs in part one were mainly quiet and soft songs: Tomboy, It’s Strange With You(묘해 너와) and so on. Songs in part 2 were mainly exciting and fast songs: Your Shampoo Scent In The Flowers(흔들리는 꽃들 속에서 네 샴푸향이 느껴진 거야), Spring Breeze(봄바람) and so on.
Especially, in the last minutes of part 2, audiences came up to the stage and enjoyed the performance. The performances of “Neon sign(네온사인),” “Romantic Cat(낭만고양이)” that were the last songs of part 2 were repeated as well because audiences requested encores on the spot.
